At Overlando, we allow off-road driving, but with reasonable responsibility. Our vehicles are capable, but they are not meant for extreme off-roading. We encourage exploring Georgia’s rugged landscapes but within reasonable limits.
You should understand that off-roading comes with great risks, and puts a lot of stress, wear and tear on the car, especially when done irresponsibly. As we like to keep offering the freedom to drive off-road, we ask you to drive with caution and care – so you do not ruin it for yourself or the next guest.
What Is Allowed?
✅ Driving on unpaved roads, dirt tracks, and gravel routes that are commonly used to access camp spots, remote villages, or scenic areas.
✅ Roads marked on maps as car tracks leading from A to B (even if rough or unpaved).
✅ Well-known off-road routes to popular destinations such as Tusheti, Vashlovani, Svaneti, etc.
What Is NOT Allowed?
🚫 Extreme off-roading – intentionally seeking out mud pits, deep water crossings, rocky climbs, steep hills, or dense forests where no clear track exists.
🚫 Driving on roads that are clearly unsafe, badly damaged, or washed out.
🚫 Using the vehicle in a way that significantly increases the risk of getting stuck or causing mechanical damage.
🚫 Blindly following a guidebook or pre planned route. Circumstances and road conditions change!
🚫 Any kind of race, rally or otherwise competitive elements
Insurance & Liability
- The vehicle is covered for off-road incidents – this means accidents, not damages caused by willingly driving in unsuitable conditions.
- Not covered: Damaged caused by off-roading: mechanical damages, underbody damage, water damage, or costs related to recovery off-road.
- Your responsibility: If in doubt about a route, ask us on WhatsApp. A short message can save a lot of trouble.
💡 Rule of thumb: If the road is mapped and leads somewhere, it’s usually fine. If you’re pushing the limits just for the challenge, it’s not.
